Give NagVis a proper facelift
NagVis is used by many people/customers. It's a crucial part of Checkmk and it really feels dated and old. NagVis needs some love and more features and a more modern approach like a editor, dynamic creation of maps, lines with more than A to B, d3js?, etc... I can provide more ideas on request.

why not adding already all ideas so people can brainstorm together?
IF! really considering - Please don't just do a facelift!
Integrate it fully into CheckMK
(if you want to keep it alive as a seperate addon, leave the Project open for the ones who want to insert coins - but focus on CMK)
The point is, right now its a tool within a tool and not only by functionality and integration, also by design
You cant properly combine the options from Nagvis with the standard Dashboard functions within CMK.
So at the end I have again, two Dashboards to Design and work on, instead of just one.
If there will be only a facelift, its still a tool in a tool without full integration into CMK
@Norman please provide all ideas!
Much more helpful for people to understand someone else needs
I like NagVis but I suggest you to try Thruk, it does the same but is more easier to operate and the results are much better compared to NagVis.
In our domain NagVis is rarely used. The customizable views are generally sufficient.
In past 20 years all projects with kind of Dashboards sometimes with large screens in the IT DPT office disappeared after short time.
The main problem is that at least the Nagvis Dashboards are not dynamic enough and always needs frequent manual intervention to keep them up to date. Thats why they become orphaned quickly.
