Allow preserving time range in graph when added to a dashboard/report

Usually, the configuration of a time series graph to a dashboard is done in the corresponding dashboard element. A user needs to define, which time range such a graph should follow.
When looking at a specific time series graph, the user is allowed to add this graph to a dashboard or report. Unfortunately, a selected time range from the preview on the right side is lost, when adding the graph.

As a user, I would prefer to keep the current time range settings and add the graph with these settings to a dashboard or report. In this case, I do not need to edit the new dashboard element, to define the time range again.

As far as I know, you cant edit the element only!
It is set by the Dashboard and not the element. Thats the problem, you can really mix different Graphs in one Dashboard
