Service Parameters: Show discovery rules and evaluation of the matching rule
Some data of the agents are not used by default. The reason is, sometimes, because it is a huge amount of data and there is no default way to convert them into always useful services.
For such parts, we provide service discovery rule sets. The rule set for monitoring operating system processes is an example. Here, the user is able to provide conditions that lead eventually to a service. An example would be a regular expression for the process names.
In the views, it is possible for each service to get to a page where the rules and their used defaults are displayed. Currently, the rules mentioned above are missing in this page. On the other side, it is very useful for a user to see, which regular expression is reason, the service has been discovered.

Lars Sörensen MergedSometimes it is unclear to the user why a process is incorrectly matched or no longer found even though the process is still running. It is also not always so clear which of the autodiscovery rules was used for the particular process check.
