Distribute new agent via push method
Currently, the agent needs to talk via 80 or 443 to the remote site which then talks to central site for updates. In our eyes, it would be great, if the central site would distribute newly baked agents to all remotes. The need to let remotes talk back to central for agent updates would be gone.
If any site would then addiotionally push newly updates to agents, it would be perfect (or let user decide, if update should be pushed or pulled, just like the new Agent Push/Pull mechanism).

Robert SanderThe registration and the update status have to be reported from the remote sites to the central site.

Florian MergedHello,
up to now it is so (described here Automatic Agent Updates - Distribute Agents and Plugins automatically) that the agents ask the server in certain intervals for an update for the agent. Here it would be good to "turn around" this feature.
This means that the agents no longer ask the server for updates, instead the server pushes the updates (e.g. via SSH connection) to the agents.
Then a direct connection from the agent to the server would no longer be necessary (e.g. when querying the agents via SSH instead of via the service, with one-way VPN etc.).
Thanks -
