Provide Redfish as a Management Board protocol selection

Redfish is described as a standard designed to deliver simple and secure management for converged, hybrid IT and the Software Defined Data Center. Redfish is supported on by many hardware vendors and provides many useful features for the management and monitoring of hardware (servers, storage, networking, etc.). Extending the Management Board protocols supported by Checkmk would allow for more granular, secure and performant monitoring of these datacenter components.

Monitoring the management board via host properties is not the recommend way in Checkmk anymore. For more details about monitoring of management boards and the product outlook for this capability, please refer to the below blog article.

You can however monitor Monitor Redfish compatible management boards / BMCs in Checkmk 2.3. Please refer to this werk which describes a natively shipped MKP which will solve your problem.
